Kim Gaboury, also known as aKido, is an indie electronic musician who has been releasing music since 2004. Dubbed "Local Underground High Flier" and "The Best Kept Secret in Our Latitudes" by some Montreal press, he has released 5 albums and 3 EPs through Nordique Records, earning nominations at ADISQ, GAMIQ and the INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS. His performances feature guest vocalists, with Kim on guitar and laptop, Martin Gaboury on drums, and Serge Nakauchi Pelletier on bass. VJ Pillow provides video mapping and projections. aKido has performed at various events, including the Montreal International Jazz Fest, CBC Radio3/Bande-à-part 5th anniversary live radio broadcasts, Nuit Blanche, and the SIRIUS Canada launch live broadcast.
